2025 National Leadership Development Course Concludes

The final leg of Adventist Schools Australia’s National Leadership Development Course (NLDC) for 2025 brought together school leaders from across the nation for three days of learning, reflection, and connection in Melbourne.

Hosted at the Australian Union Conference headquarters in Ringwood, the Melbourne sessions focused on sustaining leadership and developing adaptive capacity, equipping leaders to navigate the complex realities of education today.

The program began on Wednesday, November 5, with participants presenting their Inner Journey Change Initiatives.

The second day, Thursday, November 6, turned to the theme of Adaptive Leadership. Through engaging sessions led by AISNSW’s Leadership Centre, attendees explored how to diagnose complex challenges. The learning challenged leaders to shift from technical problem-solving to adaptive learning, mobilising others to move forward together.

On Friday, November 7, the group visited Nunawading Christian College, where they experienced leadership and learning in action. The visit highlighted how vision, relational culture, and authentic Christian practice shape thriving school communities.

Evenings provided space for informal connection, including a shared dinner at The Groove Train in Eastland. Participants also enjoyed the opportunity to explore Melbourne’s local sites.

The Melbourne leg concluded a transformative year of development that has seen participants explore authenticity, innovation, coaching approaches, and adaptive leadership all within a community of faith-driven leaders committed to excellence in Adventist education.
